Hasten O’ Believer…

Sheikh ‘Abdul-‘Azeez bin ‘Abdillah bin Baaz, may Allah have mercy on him, said:

“The believer hastens to do (good) deeds. He is cautious that he may perhaps be afflicted by the immediate death, the sudden death. Perhaps he may be afflicted by an illness which denigrates his strength so that he cannot do a (good) deed. He could be afflicted by old age, he could be afflicted by other things. It is upon the person to utilise his life, his health and his intelligence to do righteous actions before there comes between him and that (action), that which prevents it. At times it could be through reasons by which he is afflicted, from an illness or other than it, and at other times it could be through desire and love of the world and preferring it over the hereafter and it being beautified by the enemies of Allah and the callers to disbelief and misguidance.”
