Sheikh Saaleh al-Fawzaan, may Allah preserve him, said:

“Ramadaan is a witness for the Muslim, not against him, if he takes advantage of it with acts of obedience and recognises its sanctity, and if he takes advantage of his time in that which is legislated in it from the acts of obedience and good deeds and stays away from what Allah has forbidden of sayings and actions.”
